PostSubject: Toilet paper novels   Mon Jun 08, 2009 7:59 pm

Are you one of those people who bring reading material (e.g books, newspapers, magazines, etc) with you when you visit the loo? Are you ashamed of telling people about your habit since you don’t really want your best friend to feel like he should wash his hands every time he flips your comics?

Then I think you might like the latest invention from Japan. The Toilet Paper Novel.

What’s most surprising is that this new toilet paper novel isn’t written by some random Tom, Dick or Harry. It’s by Koji Suzuki, the author of one of the scariest novels ever, The Ring.

Yes, it’s the novel which inspired Ringu, the creepy Japanese horror movie that involves a messy-haired woman climbing out of wells and television sets.

His new novel, Drop, will be printed on toilet paper and yes, it will come in a roll. Touted as “Japan’s creepiest toilet paper”, the novel will be released 6 June 2009 in Japan and costs about US$2.20. That’s pretty cheap, if you think about it. But then again, my question is what are you going to do when you require more toilet paper than the segment that you have read? ahh
