Talk about tough love! The gadget, Study Ball, that you see above is modern day version of a prison ball and chain! Except it’s not meant for criminals, but students.

With a digital timer, the Study Ball will clamp itself to a poor student’s ankle and only release itself when the time is up. Which may be a godsend for students with short attention spans.

The good news is that the Study Ball weighs 20 pounds (~10kg), which will be helpful should the student have to escape from the room due to natural disasters, fire accidents, etc. The bad news is that the Study Ball weighs 20 pounds. Which means even if the student escapes from the room, there isn’t much he/she can do. (Have you tried playing football or going shopping with a 10kg sack of rice? sweat )
